Full-timeState/Province: IndianaBusiness Group: DCSLegal Entity: AECOM Technical Services IncBusiness Line: TransportationWork Location Model: HybridPrimary Location: US - Indianapolis, IN - 101 West OhiCompensation: USD 130,000 - USD 175,000 - yearlyJob DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Traffic & Intelligent Transportation System Manager to be based in Indianapolis, Indiana.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Position will involve project management for traffic related projects with opportunity to lead design on ITS projectsProvide supervision of junior staff for project development and coordination of tasksPerforms various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or departmentHas full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignmentsTraffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentationITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering processServe in various roles on traffic/ITS projects.Actively participate in the team's production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentationDeliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standardsCoordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultantsPerform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunitiesResponsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experienceSupervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limitsManages group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unitQualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Preferred 5 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects.Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 monthsGood written and verbal communication skillsExperience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms.Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required.Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work.BenefitsAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
