Are you someone who takes pride in hands-on work that makes a visible difference in your community? The City of Madison is hiring a Traffic Control Maintenance Worker, offering variety and the chance to develop a broad skill set. From approximately November through April, you’ll work with Parks Maintenance, engaging in tasks such as grounds and building maintenance, snow and ice removal from bus stops, and maintaining tools and equipment. The rest of the year, you’ll transition to Traffic Engineering duties; making, installing, and maintaining the following: street and traffic signs, traffic paint, semi-permanent pavement markings, work zones, and the installation of traffic control devices for special events.
