Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking a Trademark Analyst for our Intellectual Property Department in our New York or Los Angeles office. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. Principal responsibilities are to provide trademark prosecution, administrative and billable support to the trademark client teams.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Perform trademark prosecution and enforcement tasks including but not limited to:Review official notices and registrations for accuracyAssist with powers of attorneys and legalizationsAssist with change of address and chain of titles filingsDraft reporting and reminder letters to clients and foreign counselCreate and maintain real‑time tracking spreadsheets of active prosecution, enforcement and dispute mattersAssist with post‑registration maintenance, including research of use/specimens and conduct related use analysisInvestigate online trademark use by third parties and prepare client reportsUpdate client docket databases with prosecution/enforcement/disputes updates and manage related documentsMaintain prosecution/enforcement/disputes status updates charts and assist with preparing weekly client meeting agendasWork on various other trademark projects as needed, both administrative and legalKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:Four‑year degree or equivalent experienceStrong Windows based computer skills. Must be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (including advanced Excel skills with mastery over formulas and other Excel features for handling complex tasks) and database entry and maintenancePrior knowledge of Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint a plusOrganize information efficiently and creativelyStrong attention to detail; excellent grammar and proofreading skillsExcellent organizational ability, including the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills, verbal and written, and a willingness to be pro‑active in communicating deadlines, issues and other information to enable the team to function efficiently; ability to work with a teamAbility to work in a fast‑paced environment and work well under pressureStrong problem‑solving skills and ability to multitask effectivelyHonesty, confidentiality, and ethical conductAvailability for after hours and weekend work, as neededThis is a full‑time, regular position with a multi‑faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision.
