  • BA/BS in related field or minimum of 3 years of directly related work experience. rn
  • Familiarity with Commerce (EAR), State Department (ITAR) and U.S. Customs trade regulations. rn
  • Practical day-to-day work experience applying ITAR and EAR regulations. rn

Trade Compliance Analyst II

  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience Trade Compliance Analysis work. rn
  • Understanding of Commerce (EAR), State Department (ITAR) and U.S. Customs trade regulations. rn
  • Understanding with a variety of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. rn
  • Extensive experience with Commerce (EAR), State Department (ITAR) and U.S. Customs trade regulations. rn
  • Familiarity with Technical Assurance Agreements (TAA). rn

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Trade Compliance Manager, the Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible to collaborate with functional departments to ensure legal compliance and provide import/export administration and control within government rules and regulations, including appropriate licensing related to the import and export of hardware (e.g. parts, aircraft) and technical data here at KUAS.

Trade Compliance Analyst I

  • Coordinates and approves international shipments in accordance with U.S. trade laws. rn
  • Completes Denied Parties Screenings. rn
  • Prepares, reviews, approves international travel. rn
  • Prepares, reviews and submits foreign national visits for approval. rn
  • Verifies proper export jurisdiction and classifications for products, technology, and software in accordance with applicable U.S. export controls (EAR and ITAR). rn
  • Analyzes proposed business activities for export control and provides related guidance. rn
  • Maintains compliance due diligence reports and records. rn
  • Other duties may be assigned. rn

Trade Compliance Analyst II

  • Prepares, reviews and submits application for export/import licenses, permits and other requests for authorization to the Empowered Official. rn
  • Conducts and facilitates due diligence reviews in connection with transactions that may pose a trade compliance risk to the Company. rn
  • Monitors and studies relevant regulatory developments (Department of State, Department of Commerce, Customs & Border Protection, Office of Foreign Assets Control). rn
  • Helps business partners understand the risks and consequences of the given situation. Effectively communicates the consequences and develops alternatives to manage identified risks. rn
  • Manages record keeping and reporting requirements. rn

  • Collaborates with engineers and other stakeholders to determine jurisdiction of ITAF and EAR controlled Hardware, Technical Data and Technology. rn
  • Provides guidance and advice regarding import/export issues to peers and upper-level management, while assuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. rn

  • Provides training and guidance on jurisdiction, classifications process, ITAR and EAR regulations to team members. rn
