The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing safe, reliable, and efficient tractors and equipment for our drivers and customers. This position is responsible for performing DOT-compliant maintenance, inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment. The role requires the ability to diagnose and repair major vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, DEF systems, air conditioning systems, and driver safety mitigation technologies. The technician will utilize OEM diagnostic platforms to accurately identify and resolve issues, participate in ongoing training opportunities, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform DOT-compliant inspections, maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete preventative maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair major vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, DEF systems, HVAC/air conditioning systems, and driver safety technologies.
  • Utilize OEM diagnostic software and tools to assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Participate in training opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and stay current with industry standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical examination.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL license preferred.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn applicable systems.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance for assigned shifts.
  • Display a positive, professional attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and follow instructions, guidelines, and procedures necessary to complete daily assignments safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
