SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary placement based on education and verified contracted teaching experience accepted. Salary Range: $53,283.00 to $83,813.00. Employer-paid retirement, health and life insurance, sick leave benefits and personal leave.
Must possess a Nevada license endorsed for the specific subject(s) and to perform other educational functions at the level and in the field for which he/she is to be employed, issued in accordance with law and in full force at the time the services are rendered. (NRS 391.170). All applicants must meet all highly qualified requirements. Bilingual preferred.

General Job Description:
Under the supervision of the school principal, this position is responsible for identifying and supporting students who are struggling to make adequate progress in school due to academic and/or behavioral concerns including lack of attendance. The Intervention Specialist will provide high quality evidence based practices, researched based interventions, and monitor student progress. The Intervention Specialist will also support data-driven decision making as part of the professional learning community process to guide and differentiate supports based on learner needs. During this time, the Intervention Specialist will be expected to provide student data to school teams and participate in decisions about student progress. In order to be successful in accomplishing these tasks, the Intervention Specialist will use the latest research to promote higher academic expectations based on rigor and relevance.

Intervention Specialist must be able to effectively work with administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals to create and implement an effective learner environment that is engaging and aligned to learner needs. The Intervention Specialist will support classroom instruction and school wide intervention practices that will lead to significant improvement for students who have been identified as needing additional support. In addition, the Intervention Specialist will use assessment and data to guide and differentiate supports for students.
Licenses or Certificates Required:
Possession of a valid Nevada Teaching License, ELAD endorsement preferred; a valid drivers' license issued by the state of residence; and an original Social Security Card. The Job Functions:
The Intervention Specialist will work closely with the school administration, Professional Development Staff, Curriculum Coordinators, Instructional Coaches, and Classroom Teachers to establish effective evidence-based instructional practices that will have an impact on student achievement.
