Position OverviewThe Tools, Fastener and Safety Specialist is a customer‑facing sales and category support role based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position is responsible for sales growth, profitability and customer engagement across the Tools, Fasteners and Safety categories within the West District, including Las Vegas, Cedar City and St.George, Utah. The specialist also supports Codale's Industrial, Commercial and Renewable business verticals by partnering with sales teams, branch leadership, customers and vendor partners to identify opportunities, solve problems and deliver value‑added product solutions.This role provides dedicated field and branch support for a strategic product category with direct impact on sales growth, margin performance, inventory health, vendor execution and customer retention. The specialist will help create alignment and consistency with the overall direction of the company and department across the assigned territory while supporting branch teams with product knowledge, promotions, customer calls and category initiatives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport sales growth and profitability for the Tools, Fasteners and Safety categories across the assigned territory.Partner with branch teams, outside sales, inside sales, customers and vendors to identify opportunities and deliver product solutions.Monitor inventory levels in coordination with department leadership and support actions that improve inventory health and customer service.Support vendor promotions, product training, branch engagement and category sales initiatives.Assist in identifying opportunities to grow ancillary product lines within the assigned geographic territory.Communicate and present effectively with counter sales, inside sales, outside account managers, vendors, purchasing and marketing teams.Work independently while maintaining strong alignment with branch leadership and district priorities.Use analytical and computer skills to review information, support decisions and follow through on action items.Required QualificationsBasic reading, writing and math skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, external customers and vendor partners.Self‑motivated and able to manage responsibilities across multiple branches and priorities.Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of tools, fasteners and safety products.Working knowledge of Eclipse ERP; training will be provided as needed.Six months or more of related experience and/or training.Travel RequirementsTravel within the assigned territory is required to support branches, customers, vendors and field sales activity.LocationLas Vegas, NVSchedule8:00am‑5:00pm (Monday‑Friday)Benefits401K Plan, Competitive Medical Plans (medical, dental, and vision), Paid Vacation, Paid Sick, Paid Personal, Paid Holidays, Flexible Spending Accounts (Health and Dependent Care), Employee Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Discounts, Long‑term and Short‑term Disability, Life Insurance, and a Definitive Career Path.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementSonepar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
