3 or more years of hands-on progressive or transfer die experience
Metal stamping background required
Cold roll and deep draw experience strongly preferred
Large automotive plant experience preferred
SolidWorks or equivalent CAD proficiency
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred — equivalent hands-on experience considered
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Someone equally comfortable at a CAD station and on the press floor
GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading ability
Experience with die spotting, timing, and clearancing
Design and develop progressive and transfer stamping dies
Perform hands-on die tryouts, spotting, and tuning at the press
Support die builds from initial design through production launch
Troubleshoot stamping defects and tooling issues on the press floor
Perform die timing, clearancing, and process parameter optimization
Support press setup validation including tonnage analysis and feed progression
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve uptime and reduce scrap
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams
Support supplier partnerships including design reviews and tool runoffs
Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
