Overview:
We're seeking a Tool Room Supervisor to lead production operations and support team members within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, developing team leaders, and ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals are achieved. The ideal candidate is a servant leader with strong manufacturing supervision experience and a passion for coaching, mentoring, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support daily production activities to meet operational goals and production schedules.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Coach, mentor, and develop team leaders and production personnel.
Ensure team leaders and employees receive proper training in safety, quality, equipment operation, and 5S practices.
Maintain training records and team member training matrices.
Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, Kanban, waste reduction, and process improvement efforts.
Establish and monitor goals aligned with production and operational metrics.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters.
Partner with union representatives on contract administration and disciplinary issues.
Promote teamwork, engagement, and professional development throughout the department.
Support production scheduling and process control initiatives.
Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
1-3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience leading teams in medium-to-high volume production settings.
Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and employee development skills.
Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing operations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
All education levels considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing Engineering or Operations background.
Experience working in union environments.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Kanban, and 5S methodologies.
Experience in fabrication, metal stamping, machining, or welding operations.
Experience with production scheduling and process control.
Servant leadership experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $71,000 - $80,000
