ROLE SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating tools with field employees and ensuring they receive them in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Responsible for filling incoming requests for tools, equipment, and fall protection in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for notifying the Tool Tracking Coordinator if a tool needs to be ordered or located.
  • Responsible for inspecting tools when returned and making determination if they are fit for re-issue.
  • Confirm all tools are in good working order before leaving the warehouse.
  • Notify Warehouse Manager and Purchasing Manager of any damaged, stolen, or missing tools.
  • Make recommendations to replace tools as necessary.
  • Make recommendations for tool process improvements.
  • Review potential new tools for commercial grade durability and job requirements.
  • Make tool recommendations based on input from managers and field employees.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Assist in stock pulls needed.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving as necessary.
  • Repair tools as time allows.
  • Cross train in all aspects of warehouse to qualify as a backup as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • 2 years of experience in repairing small equipment and tools.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Products and familiar with Tool Watch.
  • Class D driver's license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar;
  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
