Pay: $18.00–$25.00/hour based on experience
Night Shift Differential: Additional 10% on top of base pay Apache Workforce is currently hiring a Tool Room Attendant / Safety Coach for opportunities in Houston, TX. We are seeking organized, safety-focused candidates with manufacturing experience who can manage tool inventory while supporting workplace safety programs. Position OverviewThe Tool Room Attendant / Safety Coach is responsible for maintaining, issuing, and tracking tools and equipment used by production employees. This role also supports the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team in maintaining safety programs, documentation, and compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of issued tools and tool room inventory
- Receive, organize, and track new tools and equipment
- Schedule and track preventative maintenance for tools and equipment
- Maintain documentation for reporting and compliance purposes
- Assist in maintaining safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Report safety and environmental concerns to the EHS Manager
- Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and safety equipment
- Support emergency action plans and PPE compliance programs
- Maintain organized and clean tool room environment
- Perform additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory and documentation tracking
- Ability to mentor and support employees on safety practices
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written English required)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing safety practices
Education- High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum Requirements- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with tool room, warehouse, or safety support roles preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements- Work performed in a manufacturing/shop environment
- Non-climate-controlled facility
- Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work up to 10-hour shifts and overtime as needed
- Exposure to industrial shop conditions
- Steel-toe boots and hard hat required
- Safety glasses required; earplugs recommended
