Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform drill press operations including drilling, tapping, and chamfering
• Deburr and straighten plates (up to 24" x 24")
• Assist with and learn machine shop operations
• Operate manual machining equipment (e.g., milling machines, surface grinders, tool grinders)
• Use hand tools and shop equipment (drills, grinders, saws, etc.)
• Operate CNC lathe and milling machines
• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical measuring devices, etc.)
• Perform and document in-process inspections
• Assemble molds and components
• Conduct mold maintenance and repairs
• Read and interpret CAD drawings
• Work with tight tolerances and precision requirements
• Lift and carry 5-25 lbs regularly
• Stand for extended periods during work shifts
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Additional Responsibilities
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Technical education (2 years) or equivalent hands-on experience
• Prior machine shop experience preferred
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and basic computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, documents)
• Willingness to learn new skills and attend training if required
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with a proactive work approach
