Schedule / Pay:
Monday-Friday $19/hr.
Primary Responsibilities:
This full-time position is required to have experience in grinding and mold assembly. Should have skills to assemble tools with perfect shut-off and ensure no flash on part during trials. Take the ownership of the project and follow-up till mold is handed over to production without any quality issues.
As per plan preventive maintenance should be carried out for molding tools.
Able to replace / rework if any tool elements are found worn out, broken, chipped, etc.
Responsible for solving tooling issues if any found during running the mold.
Be able to train junior operators in assembly techniques (Grinding techniques, advanced inspection techniques etc.,)
Responsible for receiving new mold’s & conducting incoming inspection
Responsible for operating grinding machines.
Knowledge on identifying fasteners and inspecting the tool elements
Knowledge on inspecting angular dimensions in profile projectors.
Handling of measuring instruments like micrometer, vernier caliper.
Inspection the tool elements in height gauge / master
Responsible for changing the mold tool in molding.
Knowledge of PM check of machine-like grinding, milling.
Knowledge of hand drill, operating of manual milling machine.
Estimate the work as per plan and deliver the job 100% on time every time.
Must monitor and report weekly performance on Right first and Quality of every tool he makes.
Collect all required std. elements for tool as soon as tool allocation.
Prepare the machining sketch for grinding operators and make sure all elements manufactured as per drawing and keep ready for final assembly.
Assemble tool and ensure all shot-offs are perfectly matched.
Attend the tool trial and make sure no other open issues before handover the tool for production.
Make sure all quality system related documents are stored as per the procedure.
Conducts and monitors 5S activities in and around Assembly area.
Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
High school diploma or GED preferred and 2+ years’ experience in MIM tooling industry.
High degree of expertise in inspection techniques.
3D measurement.
Angular measurements.
Good writing and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices.
Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be detail oriented.
