You will be the Tool and Model Maker B for the Tooling and Model Making Team. Our team is responsible for building, modifying, and assembling simple tools, fixtures, templates, and small models used in manufacturing and design.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Tool and Model Maker B you will work from drawings, sketches, and instructions to support production and prototyping activities.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
High school diploma or equivalent.
6 months to 2 years of related experience or trade training.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
Basic machining knowledge (milling, drilling, cutting, and finishing techniques).
Basic knowledge of hand tools, shop equipment, and measurement instruments.
Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Experience working with wood, plastics, and light metals.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work to close tolerances.
Basic understanding of fabrication and assembly processes.
Experience using shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, and hand tools.
Basic knowledge of shop safety practices and procedures.
