Pay: $16–$18 per hour (based on credentials and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Toddler Teacher Assistant – Early Learning Classroom
The Learning Experience – Canton is seeking a dependable Toddler Teacher Assistant to support children during an important stage of language development, independence, and social-emotional growth.
This role focuses on helping maintain a nurturing and engaging classroom environment through structured routines, hands-on learning activities, and positive teacher-child interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with toddler classroom routines and daily activities
- Support language development and positive social interaction
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Assist with meals, diapering, and classroom transitions
- Support developmentally appropriate learning activities and classroom centers
- Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies
Qualifications
- Prior childcare experience required
- CDA preferred but not required
- Experience working with toddlers preferred
- Reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
