Overview
The Tennessee Valley''s leader in orthopaedics, spine surgery and sports medicine, The Orthopaedic Center, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to work directly with our fellowship trained Trauma Surgeon in Huntsville, AL. This opening is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week. Successful candidate must be NCCPA-certified and licensed to practice in Alabama. The PA''s duties will include, but are not limited to, office/clinic patient evaluations and education. Surgical first assist. Run parallel and independent clinics. Injections and aspirations, review lab results, write scripts, and dictation. Refer for diagnostic treatment/tests. Evaluate X-ray, CT scan, and MRI. Casting and splinting in clinic setting. Pre and post-operative H&Ps and follow-up. Computer literate and ability to use EHR. Trauma Call coverage and hospital consults.
Qualifications
Education required: HS/GED.
License: Must have a current NCCPA certification and be licensed to practice in Alabama.
Experience: 1-3 years orevious orthopaedic experience preferred.
