SUMMARY:

The PXU City Program Manager will serve as a facilitator of internships, work experience, and job shadowing. This position is responsible for the continual development of PXU City courses and experiential learning opportunities and will instruct and manage courses as assigned. The PXU City Program Manager will build and support all PXU City student experiences and serve as a point of contact with internal and external partners. The PXU City Program Manager will work with school leadership to develop and monitor program success and improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Directs development and modification of curriculum.
  • Manages courses to include internships, work experiences, and/or job shadowing opportunities.
  • Supports, facilitates, and instructs PXU City specific courses and Advisory as needed.
  • Plans, facilitates, and supports all PXU City student experiences.
  • Acts as a liaison with internal and external groups including elementary partner schools, post-secondary school partners, community agencies, and partnerships.
  • Plans and implements student recruitment strategies and activities.
  • Plans the organization of parent nights, future student nights, student and parent/guardian orientation, and field trips.
  • Collaborates with colleagues to create, support, and manage student interventions and MTSS.
  • Creates and facilitates adult learning for PXU City specific courses.
  • Supports testing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:

  • Possess a Standard Professional Secondary Certificate
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience at the high school level.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years experience within PXU preferred.
  • Have training and/or experience in a variety of instructional delivery methods, adult learning, group facilitation, and use of technology in instruction.
  • Have expertise and experience with standards-based curriculum, best practices instruction, and performance assessments.
  • Have training or experience in the coaching of personnel, including teachers or staff.
  • Van certification and training.
