Job Summary
We are seeking a Title Recording Desk Officer to join our team! As a Recording Officer, you will be working closely with the parties involved, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate and in recordable form in accordance with state and county regulations. You will also be processing and recording the file and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate can multitask, has excellent communication skills, and has a strong understanding of real estate transactions and state/county regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review all documents prior to submission and ensure all are in legal, recordable format
- Verify all documentation, obtain signatures as required, and keep files organized throughout the entire transaction
- Monitor the status of the recording process, and communicate it appropriately with the parties as seen fit
- Troubleshoot issues with the seller, lender, or purchaser as they arise as to not slow the closing process at all
- Transmit all documentation to all parties as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, TrackerPro, Simplifile, CSC, ACRIS, WESTCHESTERPREP and other NY Upstate counties
- Prior knowledge of titles, mortgages, and loans helpful
- The ability to multitask and switch focus between multiple projects
