Title Clerk

Our office teams keep the administrative and compliance side of our dealerships running smoothly and efficiently.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Title Clerk to support our dealership's title and registration processes. Working closely with the Office Manager and dealership staff, you'll play a critical role in ensuring vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation are processed accurately and in a timely manner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Process title and registration paperwork for new and used vehicle sales.
  • Prepare, submit, and track title applications and related documentation with state agencies.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of deal paperwork before processing.
  • Monitor and follow up on title transfers, lien releases, duplicate titles, and registration issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of titles received, pending titles, and title inventory.
  • Communicate with customers, lenders, state agencies, and dealership personnel regarding title-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle titling and registration.
  • Assist with vehicle payoff processing and title releases as needed.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and electronic records.
  • Cross-train across office positions to provide coverage and support operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous title clerk, dealership office, DMV, administrative, or accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dealership management systems preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
