POSITION SUMMARY
- The Tire Technician is responsible for maintaining our culture that all Oakley employees live to create trust and confidence by consistently delivering on our promises to all we serve.
- The Tire Technician serves to follow the Oakley Service standards.
- The Tire Technician performs the daily tire maintenance of tires in the tire shop.
- Reports back to the tire shop manager and Lead Tire Technician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support the food safety and quality requirements by through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner to ensure compliance with company, customer and FDA requirements.
- Report quality and food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action to the Director of Quality.
- Perform routine tire maintenance on class 8 vehicle tires. This includes changing tires, checking tire pressure, and monitoring the wear on tires.
- Participates in and takes on-call rotation.
- Ensure work area is kept clean.
- Proficient in AS400.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be dependable, reliable, and adhere to daily schedule.
- Any other job duties as defined. Must be willing to be cross trained as needed.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Familiar with DOT compliance
- Current driver's license
