Summary The Tire Technician performs routine tire support duties for the Anchorage CTS equipment fleet. These duties may also include some occasional basic maintenance while under the supervision of an experienced mechanic. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. In addition to using computerized diagnostic equipment mechanics use a variety of power and machine tools such as pneumatic wrenches lathes grinding machines and welding equipment. Hand tools including pliers socket and ratchets and screwdrivers are also commonly used.
