Parkview Health is seeking a Board Eligible/ Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist/ Intensivist, Neurologist, Endocrinologist and Hematologist at Parkview Womens and Childrens Hospital located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.   

Specifics of the Pediatric Hospitalist Role

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care for pediatric patients
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary rounds
  • Hours vary specific to the role of interest

Specifics of the Pediatric Intensivist Role

  • Deliver critical care in our state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Manage complex, high-acuity cases in collaboration with subspecialists
  • Participate in trauma response, sedation services, and family-centered care planning
  • Hours vary specific to the role of interest

Specifics of the Pediatric Neurologist Role

  • Diagnose and manage neurological disorders in infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation teams.
  • Participate in EEG interpretation, neurodevelopmental assessments, and inpatient consultations.

Specifics of the Pediatric Endocrinologist Role

  • Diagnoses and treats hormonal and metabolic disorders in children, including diabetes, growth issues, thyroid diseases, and puberty-related conditions.
  • Primarily works in outpatient settings (90%), with some inpatient responsibilities (10%), and participates in a rotating on-call schedule (1:3).
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and engages in clinical teaching, medical student education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Specifics of the Pediatric Hematologist Role

  • Diagnoses and treats blood disorders in children, including anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, and pediatric cancers like leukemia and lymphoma.
  • Develops and manages individualized treatment plans, which may involve medications, chemotherapy, blood transfusions, or surgical interventions.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary teamincluding oncologists, nurses, and social workersto provide holistic care and emotional support to patients and families.
  • Engages in research and education, contributing to advancements in pediatric hematology and educating families about conditions and home care strategies
