What You’ll Do
  • Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients with conditions such as lung, chest wall, mediastinal, and pleural diseases
  • Perform minimally invasive thoracic surgeries, including robotic procedures and VATS
  • Conduct advanced bronchoscopy and endoscopic procedures for lungs and esophagus
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a hospital setting within the Allina Health Cancer Institute
  • Support patient management from diagnosis through post-operative care
  • Participate in clinic and surgical schedule, including handling administrative or surgical overflow days
  • Share call responsibilities among the surgical team to ensure continuous patient access


What You Need
  • Required:
    • Minnesota medical license or IMLC
    • Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) or Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery (AOA Board)
    • DEA license
    • ACLS and BLS Tier 2 certifications
    • Minimum 2 years of post-training clinical experience in thoracic or cardiothoracic surgery
  • Preferred:
    • Completion of Thoracic Oncology Fellowship
    • Robotic surgical skills (2+ years)
    • Experience with minimally invasive and robotic thoracic procedures
