What Youll Do
Provide advanced surgical care for thoracic oncology patients with conditions such as lung, chest wall, mediastinal, and pleural diseases
Perform minimally invasive thoracic surgeries, including robotic procedures and VATS
Conduct advanced bronchoscopy and endoscopic procedures for lungs and esophagus
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a hospital setting within the Allina Health Cancer Institute
Support patient management from diagnosis through post-operative care
Participate in clinic and surgical schedule, including handling administrative or surgical overflow days
Share call responsibilities among the surgical team to ensure continuous patient access
What You Need
Required:
Minnesota medical license or IMLC
Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) or Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery (AOA Board)
DEA license
ACLS and BLS Tier 2 certifications
Minimum 2 years of post-training clinical experience in thoracic or cardiothoracic surgery
Preferred:
Completion of Thoracic Oncology Fellowship
Robotic surgical skills (2+ years)
Experience with minimally invasive and robotic thoracic procedures
