Program Overview:

Youth Partial Care (YPC) offers comprehensive, intensive treatment for youth exhibiting behavioral, emotional, or social impairments that disrupt their academic or developmental progress or put them at risk of psychiatric hospitalization. Services are available for youth ages 8-17 (youth 18 or older may be eligible if currently enrolled in school). Services are provided in an after-school format that includes individual, group, and family counseling/therapy; psychiatric evaluation; and medication monitoring. Some transportation services are available. Services available in Gloucester and Cape May counties

Job Overview

Provide direct clinical services to youth as well as oversight of assigned personnel, resources, and program components necessary for effective services. The Therapist/Supervisor is an agency leader and is also responsible for demonstrating core values and interpreting the mission of the Agency in all activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide appropriate intervention strategies and adjust services accordingly.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, safety assessments and safety plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation.
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers, schools, and other service providers.
  • Provides supervision and support to direct care staff.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled supervisions and documents per agency procedure.
  • Meets obligations of the program (contractual, Medicaid, etc.).
  • Operates conscientiously in accordance with program budget
  • Ensures culturally competent service delivery.
  • Upholds ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics.
  • Conducts self in a professional manner that positively reflects the agency culture.
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks.
  • Oversee daily program operations when Program Director is not present.
  • Attentive and responsive to customer needs in a helpful, supportive and timely manner.
  • Attends agency and program meeting and training within established time frames.
  • Follows program policies and procedures and encourages the same in others.
  • Works collaboratively with coworkers and agency staff to effectively communicate and problem solve.
  • Ensures timeliness, quality, and accuracy of documentation and written and verbal and communication.
  • Maintain active CPR and CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certifications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field and one year of full-time work experience in the provision of children's mental health services.
  • Valid professional license- minimum of LSW, LaMFT, LAC
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must have experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
  • Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.
  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.
  • Must be sensitive, flexible and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation or any other special needs.
Additional Information:
  • Starting Base Rate: $68,000
  • Bilingual rate: An additional $3,120 added to the base rate if Spanish proficient
  • Sign-on Bonus: $1000
  • Schedule: M-Th 12-8, Friday Flexible
