AmeriCorps members support Sitka Counselings Nature and Nurture Therapeutic Preschool through direct service and program capacity building. They assist with classroom operations for children ages 3 to 6, build therapeutic rapport, support emotional and developmental progress, and help ensure safety and wellbeing. Members also create print and visual materials, conduct evaluations, develop outreach strategies, and document client progress. They collaborate with program staff, engage families and community partners, and attend meetings. Benefits include weekly wellness time, supervision, and professional development opportunities.
