Job Title: Social Media Manager Volunteer

Position Overview: Talented Girls in Action (TGIA) is seeking a dedicated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media Manager Volunteer. The Social Media Manager will play a vital role in amplifying the voices of talented girls, promoting our programs and initiatives, and fostering engagement with our community through various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance TGIA's online presence, increase brand awareness, and drive engagement with our target audience.

  2. Content Creation: Generate engaging and relevant content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others, highlighting the achievements, stories, and experiences of talented girls involved in TGIA programs.

  3. Community Engagement: Monitor social media channels regularly, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers, and actively engage with our audience to build meaningful connections and foster a supportive online community.

  4. Promotion of Programs and Events: Collaborate with the TGIA team to promote our programs, workshops, events, and initiatives through social media channels, creating excitement and generating participation among our target audience.

  5. Social Media Analytics: Track and analyze key social media metrics and insights, such as reach, engagement, and audience demographics, to assess the performance of our social media efforts and identify areas for improvement.

  6. Stay Updated on Social Media Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in social media marketing and digital communications, and make recommendations for incorporating new strategies and features into our social media approach.

  7. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the TGIA team, including program coordinators, mentors, and volunteers, to ensure alignment between social media efforts and organizational goals, messaging, and branding.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for empowering and uplifting talented girls and young women.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for content creation and engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and relatable content tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for social media content and campaigns.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and scheduling software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Previous experience in social media management, digital marketing, or communications is preferred but not required.
