ABM Industries is seeking a Test Technician II to join our Electrical Power Services team in Tempe, Arizona. This position is responsible for performing inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning activities on electrical power distribution equipment across commercial, industrial, government, data center, semiconductor, utility, and mission-critical facilities. The Test Technician II will perform field testing and maintenance of electrical equipment including breakers, transformers, protective devices, substations, and medium-voltage systems while maintaining strict adherence to OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards. This role requires a technician capable of working independently on routine testing assignments while supporting customers throughout Arizona and occasional projects throughout the western United States. The ideal candidate will possess NETA II certification or equivalent experience and demonstrate a strong foundation in electrical testing and power system maintenance. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
NETA Level II Certification or equivalent electrical testing experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, field service, industrial maintenance, or power systems.
Experience testing and troubleshooting:
Circuit breakers
Transformers
Medium-voltage cable systems
Low-voltage cable systems
Protective relays
Substation equipment
Experience preparing or working with PowerDB reports.
Working knowledge of electrical theory, AC/DC systems, and power distribution equipment.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.
Ability to safely operate electrical test equipment and diagnostic instruments.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and electronic reporting systems.
Valid driver''s license with an acceptable driving record.
