About the Role

As a Test Engineering Technician supporting Advanced Hardware Manufacturing Operations, you will set up, execute, and troubleshoot tests on advanced sensor and compute hardware systems. You will play a key role in ensuring hardware meets rigorous performance, reliability, and manufacturability standards across both prototype and production phases within a collaborative, quality-focused environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Set up, execute, and debug tests on prototype and production-related assemblies in collaboration with Engineering and R&D teams.
  • Perform final testing and calibration of components, sub-assemblies, and completed hardware systems to ensure performance and reliability standards are achieved.
  • Conduct detailed failure analysis, diagnose root causes, complete repairs, and generate comprehensive failure analysis reports.
  • Partner with engineers during prototype development and design reviews to provide manufacturability and test feedback.
  • Create, review, and refine test procedures and documentation to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated test fixtures, including associated software and firmware.
  • Maintain calibration of laboratory equipment and ensure proper upkeep of tools and test stations.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to complete assignments accurately.

About You

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in hardware testing or related technical environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
  • Experience assembling and repairing wiring harnesses.
  • Proficiency using EE laboratory equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reworking PCBAs.
  • Hands-on experience with shock, vibration, thermal, and IP testing.
  • EMC testing experience.
  • Automotive ECU testing experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux command line environments.
