PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Engineer in Oxnard, CA for a one-year onsite contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Test Engineer will design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment for product testing. This role includes test planning, coordination, setup, execution, data reduction, reporting, post-test data processing, and requirements verification. The position requires test experience, troubleshooting experience with test equipment and tooling, technical writing ability, and the flexibility to support multiple shifts.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of test experience, or master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience troubleshooting test equipment, test tooling, and test harnesses.
• Experience with testing automation or other lean manufacturing/testing methodologies.
• Demonstrated technical writing or procedure development skills.
• Ability to support test planning, coordination, setup, execution, data reduction, reporting, and post-data processing.
• Ability to integrate products with test tooling, software, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Ability to support test data collection, post-test data review, and test requirements verification.
• Ability to participate and present in internal and external customer reviews.
• Ability to travel between Oxnard, CA and Goleta, CA sites and travel to support customers as needed.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.
• Ability to support multiple shifts.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of test engineering experience.
• Proficiency with test automation software such as LabVIEW or related tools.
• Experience measuring and controlling electronic components such as motors, actuators, positional sensing devices, and load transducers.
• Aerospace or aeronautical industry experience.
• Strong presentation, oral, written, and listening communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to organize and prioritize assignments and tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
• Ability to adapt to changing and dynamic requirements.
• Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
• Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluation.
• Perform product testing in collaboration with operating unit teams.
• Compile data and identify required changes to testing equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, or new test requirements.
• Test customer samples and support special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.
• Integrate products with test tooling, software, equipment, and instrumentation.
• Collect, review, reduce, and report test data.
• Support technical writing for test documentation.
• Present test information in internal and customer reviews.
• Use modern tools and methods to reduce product testing cost and schedule.
• Support safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations for test engineering activities.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Must be able to support multiple shifts, including 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 4:45 PM, and 2nd shift, 2:30 PM - 12:00 AM.

Pay

• $92.79 per hour
