Lead the development and use of automation tools and scripts to improve product health and engineering efficiency; Develop comprehensive test plans based on product strategies and lead review sessions with cross-functional teams; Define and promote new test frameworks, preconditions, and reporting functions to enable effective functionality testing; Drive initiatives to create new or improve existing test infrastructure for increased productivity in test development and deployment; Influence product design and the release cycle by participating in design reviews and contributing to code quality; and Analyze test outcomes, debug failures, and synthesize data into actionable insights for engineering and product stakeholders.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Test Engineer-related occupation.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $201,100 - $218,000 + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location.     The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google"s various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user"s interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the development and use of automation tools and scripts to improve product health and engineering efficiency;
    • Develop comprehensive test plans based on product strategies and lead review sessions with cross-functional teams;
