Job Description

This role focuses on designing, developing, and improving software for sophisticated manufacturing test stations and analyzing the data they generate. The Test Automation Engineer contributes to the development and implementation of automated test solutions, working closely with hardware and software teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable test systems. The position suits someone with a broad engineering mindset, strong attention to detail, and a creative approach to solving complex technical problems in a rapidly growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug test automation software for manufacturing test stations.
• Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of software for sophisticated manufacturing test systems.
• Analyze test data generated by manufacturing test stations to support product quality and process improvements.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and software developers to integrate test solutions with products and systems.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on test equipment, test methods, and best practices for automated testing.
• Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and tools to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Keep current with the latest industry developments in test automation, electronics testing, and related technologies.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of test system issues and contribute to corrective actions.
• Document test procedures, test cases, and system configurations to ensure repeatability and knowledge sharing.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor"s degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
• Proficiency in writing software in languages such as C# and Python.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electronic circuits.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with hardware engineers and software developers.
• Capability to design, develop, and debug test automation software.
• Familiarity with test stations and test automation concepts.
• Attention to detail and the ability to think creatively to solve technical challenges.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a Test Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Test Engineer.
• Experience with automating electronics test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.
• Familiarity with RF measurement concepts and antenna testing.
• Experience using oscilloscopes and other electronic measurement instruments.
• Experience with databases, including SQL and/or NoSQL systems.
• Experience working with test automation software and manufacturing test stations.
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar tools for tracking work and issues.
• Interest in staying current with industry trends in test automation, electronics, and software engineering.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based in Midland, working directly with sophisticated manufacturing test stations, electronic test equipment, and related software tools. The role involves regular interaction with hardware and software engineering teams in a collaborative, fast-growing environment. You will work hands-on with equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, vector network analyzers, and RF test setups, as well as databases and test automation frameworks. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Midland, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

Client will pay for relocation, stipend, stock, hotel stay for up to 3 months and potential sign on bonus

This is a fully onsite position in Midland,TX.
