Job Description:
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer II Electrical Controls to lead and support the development, validation, and quality assurance of AAON control solutions. This role focuses on embedded firmware, UI software, electrical hardware, and HVAC system-level testing, ensuring products meet functional, performance, connectivity, and regulatory requirements.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of HVAC controls or embedded systems experience; OR a Technical Diploma in HVAC or Integrated Electronics with 10+ years of HVAC controls experience.
Certificates & Licenses:
Valid drivers license with ability to travel independently to job sites as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of HVAC controls, building automation systems, and electrical fundamentals.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with JIRA, DevOps, AutoCAD, Visio, or similar tools is preferred.
Work Environment:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for extended periods and work in lab and field environments.
Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet above grade.
Some travel is expected for cross-training between locations, product reviews, and field investigations.
Primary work environment is office and lab based. Occasional travel may involve rooftop equipment, outdoor conditions, and exposure to electrical hazards.
