We are searching for a skilled and meticulous Laboratory Automobile Mechanic to join our team at our world-class proving grounds facility.

In this role, you will:
\n
\n
- Play a vital role in supporting the testing and evaluation of vehicles and components
\n
- Prepare tests according to established procedures
\n
- Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of issues using specialized tools and equipment
\n
\n
The Temporary Test and Development Mechanic - Safety Testing Mechanic will:
\n
\n
- Use CAN diagnostic tools (CDA) to check-in vehicles and identify issues and flash software prior to testing
\n
- Perform repairs and modifications to vehicles as needed to address testing needs
\n
- Conduct tire mounting, balancing, and road force testing
\n
- Assist engineers with data acquisition and analysis during testing
\n
- Document test procedures, findings, and repairs in a clear and concise manner
\n
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols
\n
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other team members
\n
Basic Qualifications:
\n
\n
- High school diploma or equivalent required
\n
- Minimum TWO (2) years of auto service experience required
\n
- Strong overall vehicle knowledge and mechanical skills
\n
- Valid driver's license with no physical restrictions
\n
- Basic computer skills
\n
- Effective communication skills
\n
- Great attitude and punctuality
\n
- Initiative-taking and strong work ethic required
\n
- Able to work in a team environment
\n
- Basic fabrication experience
\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n
\n
- Strong background in fabrication
\n
- Minimum THREE (3) years auto dealership service experience
\n
- Experience with Chrysler Diagnostic Application
\n
