Overview:

The Clinical Pharmacology Lab (CPL) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to support our daily laboratory operations. This role is essential for maintaining the organization of our analytical environment. The successful candidate will assist with sample intake and basic data entry within our laboratory management system.

 

Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being: 
 
  • Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time 
  • Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads 
  • Assistance with special projects 
  • Seasonal work 
  • Emergencies

Responsibilities:
  • Logistics & Organization: Unbox and systematically organize incoming packages and diagnostic samples received from CPL clients.
  • Laboratory Maintenance: Clean and maintain lab glassware in strict accordance with safety protocols and analytical chemistry standards.
  • Data Management: Upload and log sample information into the VetView System to ensure accurate tracking.
  • General Support: Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned to support the efficient workflow of the Clinical Pharmacology Lab.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

 

Expectations:

  • Reliability: Ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule of 20 hours.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in handling fragile glassware and sensitive client samples.
  • Safety Conscious: Willingness to learn and adhere to laboratory safety and chemical hygiene standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills for data entry into the VetView System (training will be provided).
Pay Range: USD $12.00 - USD $15.00 /Hr.
