FULL DESCRIPTION: The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, customer retention, and gross margin performance within an assigned geographic territory on behalf of both our Companies.
This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer accounts, and identifying opportunities to expand customer engagement across the combined capabilities of both organizations. Success will be achieved through a combination of proactive prospecting, inbound lead management, relationship development, and strategic account planning.
Working closely with Inside Sales Representatives and cross-functional teams, the Territory Sales Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them identify the best aluminum solution for their application—whether that involves standard aluminum products, custom extrusions, fabrication, finishing, or turnkey project support.
The Territory Sales Manager is accountable for territory revenue growth, gross margin generation, customer satisfaction, and long-term account development. This position requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a relationship-driven environment, embraces collaboration, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Qualify, establish and maintain customer relationships within assigned territory
- Identify, prospect, and develop new customers
- Schedule and perform sales calls and/or visits
- Prepare and deliver presentations with technical information to customers
- Proactively follow up on quotes to maximize conversion rates
- Provide management with customer information, sales call information, competitive market analysis, and planning tools.
- Develop and justify sales quotes
- Develop and justify sales forecasts
- Attend trade shows, training sessions, & industry presentations as needed
- Collaborate cross functionally to optimize internal communication dynamics and system processes
- Communicate customer product and quality requirements to inside sales and vendors
- Understand vendor capabilities and maintain strong vendor relationships
- On a daily basis, update CRM with information gathered from client.
- Co-ordinate sales and service activities with Inside Sales Representatives.
- Practice consultative and value-added selling techniques of “solution selling.”
- Suggest extrusion design changes to improve extrudability, function, assembly and price
- Continuously increase knowledge of company products, services, and procedures
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Minimum 3 years B2B outside sales experience (metal industry preferred)
- Experience with a CRM/Sales management system (Netsuite preferred)
- An understanding of computers, measurements, tolerances, basic geometry and the ability to read blueprints (engineering drawings).
- Ability to work autonomously
- Influential presentation and public speaking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000/year
