Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology School of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology The Department of Biology at The Catholic University of America seeks to fill a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Biology, to begin Fall of 2026. The candidate will be a cell/molecular computational biologist/bioinformatics researcher whose research integrates basic and translational research to solve problems in fields including, but not limited to human disease, biotechnology or clinical medicine. Applications are sought from candidates using multifaceted mechanistic approaches with an emphasis on computational approaches to study an important problem. The successful candidate will join a collegial research-oriented department that offers undergraduate and graduate (MS and PhD) programs. The new faculty member will pursue an extramurally-funded research program and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computational biology/bioinformatics, cell and molecular biology and/or biotechnology. The candidate will also develop a new graduate program in Biotechnology with an emphasis on computational biology/bioinformatics. The candidate will assist in the administration and development of other undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department. Requires Doctorate in Biological Sciences or related field or foreign degree equivalent. Appointment: Full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2026.
