Description

The Department of Political Science, Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University (http://bush.tamu.edu/pols) is recruiting for three (3) tenure-track full-time, nine-month position which is open with respect to subfields. This search is for the rank of Assistant Professor. The expected starting date for this position is August 1, 2027. The successful candidates will be expected to carry out a vigorous program of research and actively contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and service to the profession. All appointees are expected to be committed to teaching and research of the highest quality.

The Bush School of Government and Public Service was founded in 1997 under President George H. W. Bushs philosophy that public service is a noble calling. Since then, the Bush School has continued to reflect that notion in curriculum, research, and student experience and has become a leading international affairs, political science, and public affairs institution. Located in College Station, Texas, the school is part of the George Bush Presidential Library Center on the campus of Texas A&M University A rigorous curriculum and internationally acclaimed faculty have propelled the Bush School to rank in the top 10% of graduate schools for public affairs for 2023 in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report and is one of the most impactful and nationally influential academic units at Texas A&M. Qualifications

Candidate must have a Ph.D. in political science or a related field. Strong research and teaching interests across traditional subfields of political science will be highly valued.
