Posting Summary

Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant to work in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions.

The Temporary Research Assistant assists a faculty member in conducting a research project.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in coordinating project activities.
  • Assist IRB related tasks including inform consent and participant recruitment.
  • Spanish proficiency is required to conduct focus groups with stakeholders and perform qualitative data analysis in Spanish.
  • Assist creating the project web page.
  • Create SNS advertisement script and conduct advertisement activities.
  • Conduct community outreach (i.e., attend community events, conduct focus groups, demonstrate and enroll individuals in a digital app program, distribute dissemination materials, and present the project).
  • Collect necessary data, check data quality and track data.
  • Perform data analysis under supervision.
  • Assist in developing success stories, evaluating the project, and generating reports.

FLSA Nonexempt Grade 99H Salary Details $25/hour is budgeted for this position. Minimum Salary 15.92 Mid Range Salary 75.00 Maximum Salary 150.00 Offer Information

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Training in conducting focus groups, performing quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and generating appropriate reports will be provided.
  • Spanish proficiency is required.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.
  • Sufficient keyboard and spreadsheets skills to work with widely used programs such as Qualtrics, Excel, SPSS, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Current enrollment in psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, and social work graduate programs preferred.
  • Research experience preferred.
