Job Summary
The Doctoral Intern will participate in a one-year internship designed to strengthen the behavioral health workforce in Northeast Tennessee. The Intern in the Institute for Integrated Behavioral Health will develop clinical, team-based, and leadership skills necessary to enter the workforce of integrated health psychology including positions of leadership and program development.
The Intern will provide consultation, assessment and treatment in fully integrated healthcare teams across the spectrum of primary care including family medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. The Intern will participate in quality improvement projects and vertical supervision of graduate students in psychology, social work, counseling, and nurse practitioner programs. The Intern will also have opportunities for teaching residents and medical students in the management of behavioral health problems commonly presenting in primary care.
Salary - $40,000
This position is for 1 year only.
