Temporary PRN Nurse Consultant
Remote 90%, Onsite 10% in Bremerton, WA
Hiring Range: $42.87 - $54.66 Per Hour
Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a Temporary PRN Nurse Consultant to support the reopening of our Youth Inpatient Unit (YIU). This role focuses on strengthening nursing practice, clinical workflows, and staff readiness before services resume. The work includes consultation, training development, and process improvement across the unit. Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate's degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years' nursing experience, with at least two years in a behavioral health environment. Previous experience developing nursing curriculum and/or training nursing staff required.
LICENSURE: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Washington State. Active and unencumbered multistate practical nurse license accepted with additional training requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE: Prior experience as a nurse manager or charge nurse.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Remote worksite, office.
