Temporary Night Nurse for a Family in Savannah, GA

A family in Downtown Savannah is seeking an experienced Night Nurse/Newborn Care Specialist for an 8–12 week contract beginning after the arrival of their first baby girl, due December 27. The family would like to secure care well in advance, as newborn specialists often book months ahead. Mom plans to breastfeed, nurse, and pump, so candidates with lactation knowledge and experience supporting breastfeeding families are strongly preferred. The schedule will begin at 5–7 nights per week, with flexibility depending on the family's needs. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, dependable, and supportive, while also serving as a calm and reassuring presence for first-time parents. During newborn sleep periods, responsibilities will include washing bottles and pump parts, laundering baby clothing, stocking diaper stations, emptying the diaper genie, and assisting with other baby-related tasks. The family is comfortable with the Night Nurse resting during downtime once duties are completed. Their home has three levels, so candidates must be comfortable navigating stairs regularly throughout the night. Additional opportunities for evening/date-night support prior to overnight shifts may be available. The family also has a friendly 40-pound dog, so comfort around pets is required. Candidates must be current on Flu, Tdap, RSV, and COVID vaccinations. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience.
