Summary
Point Loma Nazarene University is seeking a Temporary Ministry Coordinator to provide support for Discipleship Ministries during a staff maternity leave. This position partners with the Student Life and Formation team to support D-Group leaders, coordinate ministry activities, and help foster meaningful opportunities for student spiritual growth throughout the academic year.
This temporary role provides continuity for discipleship programming by supporting ministry logistics, communication, and student leader development while contributing to PLNU's mission of Christian formation.
Salary:
Pay range $20.91 - $22.58
Actual salary offered is determined by the candidate's experience, education, skills, and other factors, including internal equity and university funding resources.

What You'll Be Doing
Support D-Group leaders through communication, scheduling, and administrative coordination
Assist with planning and logistics for discipleship events and gatherings
Coordinate ministry calendars, registrations, and participant communications
Help prepare materials and resources for student leaders
Assist with training meetings and leadership development activities
Maintain ministry records and documentation
Support communication with students regarding discipleship opportunities
Assist with special events and spiritual formation initiatives throughout the academic year
Provide administrative support to the Student Life and Formation team
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of Discipleship Ministries
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Experience serving in ministry, student leadership, or volunteer coordination preferred
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU's Community Life Covenant.
