Job Position: Temporary Intake Assistant

Location: Austin, TX 78746

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

We are looking for an Intake Assistant who shares our vision to join our team. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for our future personal injury clients. The ideal person has great phone skills, is naturally a compassionate and empathetic listener, caring, and has a desire to help others. As an important part of the team, you will be working with our Intake Manager to evaluate and investigate a potential clients case to determine if they fit their criteria as well as onboard clients through the signing process. As with all our employees, the intake assistant will be expected to maintain a high level of respect, dignity and confidentiality of information collected.

This is a temporary, mainly remote position with the flexibility to work in our office. The first week will in office for training. It s important that you be able to work independently, proactively, and as part of a team. Your schedule may vary, depending on the volume of calls and workload of new cases. Occasionally, there may be a need for evening or possible weekend call rotation (This will be discussed during the interview process). Training will be provided.

Responsibilities and Duties Essential Functions (including but not limited to):
Conduct prospective client interviews and evaluate their claims.
Respond to prospective client s phone calls and electronic inquires in a timely manner.
Answer questions and provide guidance, understanding and support to prospective clients.
Consult with Attorneys to determine if a case fits the firm s criteria.
Set up new case files and update the database with client information.
Collect necessary case documentation from clients and insurance carriers.
Assign initial tasks to paralegals.
Conduct initial fact finding
Provide general information on the claims process.
Assist Intake Manager

Other Functions
Employee may be required to perform other additional duties as assigned including but not limited to:
Help update and maintain database.
Organize and maintain client files.
Follow up on referral cases.

Qualifications and Skills
Customer care oriented and good team player. Minimum one year experience in customer service and intake preferred.
Compassionate, caring with great communication and phone skills.
Bilingual in Spanish STRONGLY preferred
Ability to prioritize and juggle a variety of tasks
Speak and write professionally
A history of performance in a customer facing role
Background in personal injury is a plus but not required
