Job Summary
The Division of Continuing Education seeks a highly qualified Course Assistant to support upper-division undergraduate economics courses. The Course Assistant will play a critical role in maintaining academic standards and supporting student learning by assisting with grading, student engagement, and course administration. This position is ideal for individuals with advanced training in economics who are interested in academic instruction and student mentorship. The anticipated length of this temporary position is 9-months from the date of appointment.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
+ Grade assignments, problem sets, exams, and other course assessments in a timely and consistent manner
+ Provide constructive feedback to students to support learning and improvement
+ Interact with students through office hours, discussion forums, email, and learning management systems
+ Assist instructors in monitoring student progress and course performance
+ Support course administration, including maintaining grade records and coordinating course logistics
+ Help ensure academic integrity and adherence to course policies
+ Communicate regularly with the instructor regarding course progress and student issues

What We Can Offer
The hourly range for this temporary, part-time position is $33.00 - $37.00.
