Description of Job Lead and Non-Lead:
Primary responsibility is to support the State Invasive Species Program through public outreach to non-motorized water recreation groups on the Colorado River at designated boat launches. Work will include educating outfitters, anglers, hunters, and non-motorized watercraft users about aquatic invasive species and how to properly clean, drain, and dry their equipment. Outreach will include providing surveys, attending user group events and expositions, and educating recreational outfitters. The position will report to the James M. Robb Corn Lake State Park for assignment. Boat inspection and outreach training will be provided. When outreach is not needed, the position will support the Program Manager and Invasive Species Specialists by performing a variety of tasks including:
