Position Summary:
The Temporary Building Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of all event spaces and overall appearance of buildings
This a temporary 6 month full-time position based in CFR’s New York City office. This role is required to be onsite Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8pm with flexibility to work on weekends.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Set-up and breakdown of furniture and equipment in event spaces.
Coordinating building services such as HVAC adjustments, lighting & AV equipment set-up and furniture adjustments CFR & Rental event activities
Cleaning interior and exterior building areas including but not limited to sidewalk debris removal.
Identify and perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the building
Perform floor and wall maintenance including stripping and waxing floors, carpet cleaning, wall patching and painting
Assisting with other related duties as requested or required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience
At least 3 years experience in facilities/building maintenance in a high-profile organization or cultural institutions.
At least 3 years experience in floor care and painting.
Familiarity of building operating systems, i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds (i.e. – chairs, tables, office furniture, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:
The full-time compensation range for this position is $33.00– $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
