Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Temporary Accounts Receivable Support Specialist to assist our accounting team with daily accounts receivable operations and administrative support functions. This position will play an important role in ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliation, and customer communication.

The ideal candidate will have prior accounts receivable or accounting support experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Accounting Support

  • Process customer invoices and ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Apply incoming payments, including checks, ACH, and credit card transactions.
  • Monitor customer accounts and assist with collections on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances and research discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation within the accounting system.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting related to accounts receivable.
  • Support audit preparation by gathering documentation and reconciling account information as needed.
  • Maintain a general understanding of accounting principles and general ledger accounts related to receivables.

Administrative & Office Support

  • Assist with incoming calls and provide general office support as needed.
  • Maintain professional communication with internal departments and external customers.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail related to customer payments and invoices.
  • Support filing, scanning, and document management for accounting records.
  • Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous accounts receivable, billing, or accounting support experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
