Temperature Controls Installer

Location: Rapid City, SD

Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive hourly rate + overtime + benefits

About the Role

We’re seeking a dependable and experienced Temperature Controls Installer to join our growing team. In this position, you’ll be responsible for installing and wiring complete temperature control and building automation systems (BAS) — including conduit, sensors, controllers, and field devices — for commercial and industrial projects.

You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and fellow technicians to bring high-quality, energy-efficient control systems to life.

Key Responsibilities

· Install all conduit, wiring, sensors, controllers, and associated components for temperature control and building automation systems.

· Pull, terminate, and label control wiring per schematics and electrical drawings.

· Mount and wire control panels, actuators, relays, and other field devices.

· Ensure installations meet company standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.

· Assist in system start-up and commissioning as needed.

· Maintain organized job sites and accurate installation documentation.

· Coordinate with electricians, HVAC mechanics, and control engineers to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or trade certification preferred.

· 2+ years of experience installing temperature controls, low-voltage systems, or HVAC automation equipment.

· Strong understanding of conduit bending, routing, and support installation.

· Proficient with control wiring and electrical troubleshooting.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.

· Knowledge of DDC systems.

· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
