What Youll Do- Set up and operate medically prescribed respiratory equipment
- Train patients and caregivers on ventilators and DME devices
- Evaluate patient progress and effectiveness of respiratory therapy treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
- Document all patient care services accurately in documentation systems
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to infection control protocols
- Perform preventive maintenance on respiratory equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities
- Contribute to discharge planning by consulting with medical staff
What You Need- Virginia Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility to obtain
- Valid drivers license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in respiratory therapy
- Strong bedside manner and physiological knowledge
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow infection control procedures and safety protocols
Preferred- Experience with ventilator management and DME equipment
- Additional certifications in respiratory care
