What Youll Do
- Assess the care needs of patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
- Provide direct nursing care, medication administration, and patient observation
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress
- Monitor and report safety concerns or risks to appropriate staff and medical providers
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and recovery-focused environment
- Assist in staff coordination, delegation, and support the training of new team members, when applicable
- Uphold organizational and professional standards, including compliance with policies and quality improvement initiatives
- Support the mission and values of the organization, demonstrating professionalism and cultural sensitivity
What You Need
- Required:
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Minimum of 2 years experience in behavioral or mental health nursing
- Strong communication and assessment skills
- Preferred:
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings
- BLS/CPR certification
